Hey everyone. Today, I’m sharing another doodle that came together almost by accident. I was thinking about my morning routine – that coffee that makes me function- and a sleepy koala just kind of made sense.
Instead of just putting a koala on a mug, I decided the mug should be the koala. I wanted that same simple, friendly face, but integrated into the form. The ear on the side was a fun touch to make it feel more dimensional, even in a doodle.
I chose this calm, light lime green. It’s not too bright, just a nice, soothing tone. Something to gaze at while you’re half-awake. Maybe a little less intense than my usual brights, but it fits the ‘sleepy koala’ vibe.
I imagine this mug is for someone who moves at their own pace in the morning, maybe a bit slower than everyone else, but in a content way. It’s a gentle reminder to just breathe.
Like the Snail-Rabbit, I’m thinking about this for stickers or maybe even a real ceramic piece one day. Who knows? For now, I just like the happy energy it has.
