Look at the time! I am back with another weird and wonderful character design to share with you all today. I was staring at the clock on my studio wall, waiting for some inspiration to strike, and I started thinking about how the round shape of a clock face could easily become the head of an animal. Since time always seems to be a “tall order” these days, a giraffe felt like the perfect fit!
You can see exactly how this fun little concept came together. I took the classic, long neck of a giraffe, complete with those iconic warm brown spots, and topped it right off with a functional analog clock face. I kept the giraffe’s cute, fuzzy ears and its little horns-fun fact, they are actually called ossicones! – sprouting right out of the top of the clock frame.

I absolutely love playing with this warm, earthy color palette. The soft yellows and rich browns give the whole piece a really cozy, nostalgic vibe, almost like a vintage wooden toy you would find in an old nursery. Blending something mechanical and rigid like a clock with something as organic and wild as a giraffe is exactly the kind of creative challenge that keeps me drawing every single day. I hope this timely little creature brings a smile to your face and a bit of fun to your feed!
