This time, I wanted to play around with art history. I took Edvard Munch’s legendary masterpiece and threw it into my own chaotic universe. The result is a surreal, sci-fi-infused parody where classic existential dread meets pure comic absurdity.
What hides in the details:
- an iconic pose: our feathered friend is pulling off that famous terrified face. It turns out that birds can experience a heavy existential crisis too.
- the runaway brain: there is an actual brain lying right there on the wooden bridge. Whose is it? Did the pigeon drop it? That is the best part – I leave the story up to your imagination.
- the panicked scientist: in the background, a guy in a lab coat is sprinting away as fast as he can. It creates a hilarious narrative, suggesting that some bizarre experiment just went completely out of control.
- colors and style: a bright, flat blue sky creates a massive contrast with the characters and the pale bridge. The thick black outlines keep the aesthetic very pop-art and internet-friendly.
I love taking things that are usually seen as serious or dramatic and completely flipping them upside down. I hope this panicked bird and its mysterious brain bring a good laugh to your day!
